Making Church Matter

A Title

August 26, 2012

As many of you know, my associate Tom Corcoran and I have been working on a book for the past year, working especially hard these past weeks, with final edits. We have also been in discussion with our editor about a title.  It was an interesting process and probably two-dozen titles were actively discussed and considered.

It is a more complicated process than it might appear, with many people participating in the process bringing to the table many different concerns and conditions. Some of our regular readers here even got involved in the process, with some terrific suggestions.

Ultimately it is the publisher who selects the title of a book, but we were graciously included in the process by the great team at Ave Maria Press.  We are all very pleased with the resulting product. Hope you are too.

  1. I like it. Even though I don’t know what is in the book, it sounds like perhaps a primer for the growth of our Catholic faith.

  2. And we patiently waited with you…great, great title! Looking forward to turning the pages..!!
    Congratulations
