Making Church Matter

Matter Conference 2012

October 7, 2012

In little less than a month we host our second ever church conference.  Saturday, November 3 will be a great day of worship, fellowship and discipleship, as well as going deeper in ministry and mission.

Al and Rob and our house band will be there with unexpected as well as familiar favorites. Chris and Kristin will lead the fun with games and antics, Lucas and Jeremy are preparing some awesome sight and sound, Brian, Maria, Lisa, Maggie and others will be leading break out sessions.  Tom and I will be giving the opening and closing sessions. You will be uplifted and inspired by the worship, deepened in your insights into our mission, vision and strategy, and inspired by the whole day.

This year we are introducing our conference attendees to our forthcoming book, Rebuilt (Ave Maria Press, Notre Dame, Ind., Winter 2013).  Both the main sessions as well as the breakouts will explore some of the major themes of the book.  Attend the conference, and you’ll be among the first to get a peak inside what’s coming.

This conference is meant for anyone interested in the ministry, mission, and message of Church of the Nativity. Parish and ministry leaders, ministers, parishioners, guests, church leaders from other parishes. I know of several parishes from elsewhere in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York who are planning to send representatives.  Even if you’re just interested in the project of your local church community and what to learn more about what works (and what doesn’t) this conference is for you.

But, the catch is, you have to register. And registration is limited, so do it now.
